Temple University Student Elections

Commissioner's Welcome

Fellow Owls:

In the words of American President Franklin D. Roosevelt, “Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely.” You will have the opportunity to vote in both a new legislative branch, and a new executive team for the 2017-18 year.  Student government represents you to the Temple Administration and Board of Trustees so choose wisely!

It is critical that you make your voice heard on April 4th and 5th. The opportunity to vote freely in a legislative body is a cornerstone of any functioning democracy, and Temple Student Government is no different. I hope you all take the time to look at the candidates, and to read a little about them and their ideals before you cast your vote. This year, more than ever, you have the opportunity to make sure you are represented. You have the opportunity to vote via single transferrable vote. You are welcome to rank candidates in order of preference, and you are allowed to abstain at any point.

On behalf of Temple Student Government, I welcome you to the Spring 2017 Elections.

Regards,

Noah Goff

Elections Commissioner
